Katie grew up in Northern California, before playing basketball and gaining her Bachelors degree in Recreational Sports Management at Alderson Broaddus University, in WV. Since then, she has discovered her passion for working with children and making an impact in her community. She has spent years working in behavioral health, from being a direct care provider to a program supervisor. Being an active member of the community is important to Katie. She volunteers for an animal rescue and helps with local outdoor cleanup efforts; when she isn’t enjoying the outdoors herself, with her 2 dogs.
Katie is passionate about her position, as Volunteer Coordinater, at Future for KIDS. She is excited to be a part of an agency that makes such an impact on the youth in the community, while being able to work directly with incredible people eager to give their time for the greater good.
