Future For KIDS celebrated our 25th Anniversary on Saturday, November 5th, with hundreds of past and present mentors, volunteers, board members, and leaders.
It was a wonderful night full of old memories and good times. Many attendees have been with Future For KIDS for upwards of two decades. We are so thankful for the constant support of the community that has allowed us to improve the lives of youth for 25 years.
After guests arrived, a ribbon cutting ceremony with City of Tempe officials and current Board Members celebrated Future For KIDS new office, as well as the past 25 years.
“Future For KIDS is a wonderful addition to the community,
and I love celebrating an organization that has done so much
to help youth in our area have better lives and futures for the past
25 years.” Tempe City Councilman Kolby Granville said.
Founder and retired NFL player Rodney Smith also gave a speech. He spoke of the history of Future For KIDS, and the bright future it supplies for youth through academics, athletics, and ethics.
“Honestly, when I started [Future For KIDS], I had no idea how successful it would be. And I am so glad to say that we have been able to help over 150,000 children and their families. Thank you.” Rod said.
Local businesses provided delicious tastes of food and drink for the guests. It was a great night and we were so glad to see all the people that have helped us succeed over the years, and we look forward to many more!
